Kalamazoo a magicaboo a bippity boppity boo

Today was actually a very good day.  I was in one of the best moods I’ve been in for a very long while.  Despite a bit of drama in the evening hours, nothing managed to get me down today.  I need more days like this.  I think I’ll have more. :)

Things with Help The Ville are coming along nicely.  Barring any last minute correction to our articles, we are ready to incorporate.  Woot woot!  Have a meeting with a web developer tomorrow afternoon.  Hopefully I will be able to jibe him into giving us a very reduced rate or very deferred payment plan until grant money starts rolling in.  In checking out his website, I'm very impressed with his work, and he seems to have already dialed into what we need very, very well.  I'm looking forward to meeting him.

This not dating thing is working out great!  I’m joining a tennis league with a friend from work, and I’m thinking about taking a Lifelong Learning course in tennis or small business accounting.   Most importantly, I am applying to attend a weeklong trip during Spring Break week to volunteer with the United Way to help rebuild schools in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  If selected, I will be responsible only for the costs of my travel to Lake Charles, so I will be accepting pledges, donations, sarcastic remarks.  I will keep you informed.

Absolutely, this is going to be my year.  Yes siree.

Flippin’ yessss!

The Hope & Need committee meeting kicked some ass tonight! It was so, so good to see Jammie and Andrea again and to get the fire in my belly for this event lit again. I had been kind of down on Hope & Need over the past few weeks (been down on everything really) and I needed their enthusiasm a lot. It really puts it into perspective and it makes me *shake* to think that this could actually happen, with the help of these people who are as dedicated to this event as I am. This is POSSIBLE!! More than that, it’s PLAUSIBLE!! It can actually HAPPEN!! I’m ecstatic! This is going to be our best year ever.

I’m so glad to have something to put my back up against going into the fall and winter. The coming months are notoriously the hardest for If everything we want to happen can actually happen next year, we’re going to blow our previous record out of the water. I need something like that to keep me excited and motivated to keep drawing breath. This is going to rock!

So basically, anyone who is interested in serving on a committee for this thing, let me know. We’re going to need all the help we can get. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, raising some money, and making some magic.
